Curriculum

S.E.E.D.S provides a loving Christian environment where preschool children are encouraged to participate in creative learning experiences. We provide opportunities to stimulate the child's natural curiosity and imagination. Our goal is to foster developmentally appropriate independence in each child.

Teachers use developmentally appropriate curriculum guidelines based on a monthly thematic calendar. These activities promote learning experiences in:

  • Art
  • Math
  • Science Exploration
  • Early Literacy
  • Social/Emotional Development
  • Gross/Fine Motor Development

All children attend classes in the following areas which are taught by specialized teachers:

  • Music/Creative Movement
  • Spanish
  • Science Enrichement
  • Bible Study

Children are introduced to Saints and nursery rhymes using the S.E.E.D.S Saint of the Monthand Nursery Rhyme Curricula.

PRESCHOOL PROGRAMS

Enrollment Form

The Toddler/Two-Year Old Classroom

For our Toddlers and Two-Year Olds, their experience at S.E.E.D.S. will provide them with opportunities to be exposed to shapes, colors, numbers and letters. Music and movement will provide the framework for natural learning, as at this age children are all about their bodies and their senses. Teachers will work within the monthly theme and give these children meaningful experiences that will broaden their view of the world and expand their quickly growing vocabularies. S.E.E.D.S. Toddler/Two Year Old Program will also provide opportunities for children to experience and practice parallel play with the hope of introducing cooperative play. We nurture their independence and their curious nature.

Options for this Program are: Monday/Wednesday/Friday Tuesday/Thursday Monday-Friday

The Three-Year Old Classroom

For our Three-Year Olds, their experience at S.E.E.D.S. will provide them with opportunities to be exposed to shapes, colors, numbers, and letters. Because of their vocabulary and increased attention span, they are ready for opportunities to share ideas during age appropriate group activities. Their bodies are changing and maturing so they are ready to refine and strengthen both their gross and fine motor skills through movement, art and writing. They will acquire meaningful vocabulary and experiment with sound and letter recognition. They will become active participants in the classroom and begin to recognize their importance in their school community. They will also become less interested in merely ‘cause and effect’ and more interested in the ‘why’ of their world.

Options for this Program are: Monday/Wednesday/Friday Tuesday/Thursday Monday-Friday

The Four-Year Old Classroom

For our Four-Year Olds, their experience at S.E.E.D.S. will provide them with opportunities to expand on their previous knowledge and skills and prepare them for their upcoming experience in kindergarten/elementary school setting. Building on their knowledge of numbers and counting, S.E.E.D.S. Four-Year Old teachers explore the five strands of Math with their students. These are Numbers and Operations, Geometry and Spatial, Algebra/Patterns, Measurement, and Analyzing Data. In Language, they will build on their phonological skills by exploring rhyming, segmenting words, emergent reading and emergent writing. In Science, we give the children opportunities to explore, inquire, experiment and discover the world around them and beyond.

Options for this Program are: Monday/Wednesday/Friday Tuesday/Thursday Monday-Friday
